Preventing Heatstroke, Safeguarding Health and Safety — Special Training on Heatstroke Prevention

Jul. 08, 2025

To address the challenges of high summer temperatures, enhance employees’ awareness of heat-related workplace safety, and improve their understanding and emergency response capabilities for heatstroke, the Comprehensive Administration Department organized a “Heatstroke Prevention and First Aid” training session on July 7. Employees from various departments actively participated, with the aim of equipping both frontline workers and managers with essential knowledge on high-temperature protection, strengthening the safety barrier for production.

During the session, the safety officer used video demonstrations and case studies to explain in detail the causes, early symptoms, and severe consequences of heatstroke. The training emphasized three key areas:

 •  Prevention first – scientifically arranging work schedules to avoid peak heat hours, and providing cooling beverages and heat-relief medicine.

 •  Early warning signs – recognizing symptoms such as dizziness, nausea, elevated body temperature, and disorientation, which require immediate intervention.

 •  Emergency response – moving affected individuals to a shaded area, lowering body temperature, rehydrating, and promptly seeking medical assistance.

Given the rapid onset, fast progression, and high fatality rate of heatstroke, employees gained a deeper understanding of its seriousness. The training transformed their awareness from “fragmented knowledge” to “systematic mastery”.

In addition to the training, the company has implemented multiple heat-protection measures:

 •  Adjusting working hours in high-temperature positions through staggered shift arrangements.

 •  Equipping each workshop with portable first-aid kits, cooling devices, and heat-relief medicine.

 •  Providing daily supplies of mung bean soup, saline soda water, glucose drinks, and other cooling beverages.

 •  Establishing a high-temperature health check system, including daily blood pressure monitoring before work to track employee well-being.

“Safety is never a small matter — prevention is the best protection.” This training not only strengthened the entire workforce’s awareness of high-temperature safety but also reflected the company’s “people-oriented” management philosophy. Moving forward, we will continue to enhance our occupational health management to provide employees with a safer and more reassuring work environment.
